We had a storm blow through our area on Thursday May 23rd with heavy rain and damaging winds, blowing trees down on primary and secondary power lines, interrupting service to thousands.
Did you know the power company is only responsible for maintaining the overhead service to your house to the left of the red line?

Everything to the right (except for the meter itself) is maintained by the customer.
-The gray service cable/conduit
-Straps
-Point of attachment or service hook
-The meter box
That means in the event a tree falls on the service drop and pulls your service off the house you need an electrician!
